SEVEN VILLAGES REMAIN DE-ENRGIZED BECAUSE OF SNOWFALL

Seven villages in Causeni and Stefan Voda raions remain de-energized because of heavy snowfalls.

Civil Protection and Emergencies Service of the Ministry of the Interior announced that relief workers have rescued 10 vehicles stuck in the snow in Orhei, Anenii Noi, Cimislia and Ocnita raions.

In Chisinau, in Alba Iulia St., a mansard of a dwelling house suddenly crashed down. Fortunately, there were no victims.

Today, all national roads across the country are open and working, being serviced by some 300 snow-removal vehicles.

Over the past 24 hours, 36 people with various traumas have addressed for medical help after slipping on ice. Eight people were hospitalized. A 29-year-old man was hospitalized with the diagnosis “hypothermia”.

Border police announced that two border crossing stations, Cosauti-Iampol and Soroca-Tecinovca, temporarily suspended working because of adverse weather conditions.
