According to her “US$385 million were presented in the form of direct support to the state budget, and US$1.5 million in the form of technical support”.

The specialist noted that funds will be allocated only after the achievement of certain performance indicators during the agreed reforms.

“One of the conditions is to equip 90 schools till 2018, according to the standards of “child-friendly schools”. 17 schools from 13 raions of Moldova were selected at the first stage, which best of all distributed the budget to solve the problem of students’ transportation and meet the other requirements”, said Gavrilita.

According to her, “it is not yet known what amount of money will be allocated to each school, because everything depends on the size of the educational institution, the work complexity and other factors that will be identified in institution assessment”.

“The World Bank representatives will control the repair works. Parents will be able to participate as well, to evaluate the work and to vote on results”, said the state secretary Gavrilita, adding that “the project for the repair works will be developed by the end of 2014, and works will begin in 2015”.
