​SLOVAKIA EMBASSY ORGANIZES TRAINING FOR MOLDOVAN MEDICAL PERSONNEL

The Embassy of Slovakia to Moldova organized on Wednesday training for personnel of the National Center of Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance.

The seminar was conducted by three specialists from Slovakia, who trained the medical staff by means of simulating emergency situations.

“The topic of our training was teaching emergency station employees modern techniques and approaches in reanimation, treatment of patient and handling the defibrillator, which is one of devices in the ambulance vehicles, donated by Slovakia to Moldova”, said Slovak doctor – trainer Alexander Opanasenko.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Slovakia to Moldova Robert Kirnag said that Slovakia is annually investing about 1 million euros in Moldova, as this country is one of the priority states in providing assistance in development.

“We hope for further cooperation so that we could help solving at least a small part of Moldova’s problems. Besides the earlier provided 10 cars, we plan to donate 2-3 more ambulances for the prison system, the dermatology institute and 1-2 – to raions within our small grants”, the diplomat said.

According to him, Slovakia is also ready to provide assistance to medical institutions within the program of environment protection, water supply and sanitation, dangerous medical waste disposal, lavatories’ repairing.

“We cannot solve all the problems, but we are glad to work with partners, who come to us with real problems and are ready to participate in their addressing”, Kirnag said.
