​RUSSIAN PRESIDENT DECORATES FORMER MOLDOVAN PREMIER FOR CONTRIBUTION TO COOPERATION

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on decorating former Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev with the Order of Friendship of Peoples for great contribution in developing business, economic and humanitarian cooperation with the Russian Federation. Currently, Tarlev is Chairman of the National Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Moldova and Chairman of the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs During his premiership, the relations between Moldova and Russia were not the best. In particular, in 2006 the RosPotrebNadzor [Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being] declared Moldovan wines dangerous for human health and not only introduced ban on their imports, but also destroyed all the Moldovan wine products in Russian shops.
