​MOLDOVANS TRUST CHURCH THE MOST – POLL

Republic of Moldova citizens appear to trust the Church the most, and the Parliament and President – least of all, as per the research called “The Quality of Country Governance through the Prism of State-Provided Services”. It was carried out by the CBS-AXA Center for Sociological Researches and Marketing by the order of “Viitorul” [“Future”] Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) on September 14 through 25.

According to the poll, 74.3% respondents stated that the institution they trust the most is the Church, Primarias [local executive authorities] received 44.3% trust, the media – 31.8%, armed forces – 31.4%, police 23,8%, banks 17.8%, non-governmental organizations – 14.7%, trade unions – 12.7%, the Prosecution service – 10.6%, the judiciary – 9.1%.

The lowest trust figures are with Moldovan political parties – 8.2%, the Government – 6.8%, the Parliament and President – 4.6% each.

The researchers interviewed 1,108 citizens of age eligible to vote residing in various-type populated areas across the republic. The pollsters are saying that error should not exceed ±3%.
