GOVERNMENT TO HELP CHISINAU PRIMARIA LIQUIDATE SNOWSTORM CONSEQUENCES

27 april, 2017

The Government will help the Chisinau Parimaria [city government] in cleaning up the territory after the natural disaster, said Prime Minister Pavel Filip at the Wednesday’s briefing.

According to him, the city administration needs help as its own resources are not enough for fast removing of snowstorm consequences. The premier said that working groups will be formed in police stations, which will be engaged in cleaning the city streets starting from Thursday early morning.

“100 items of special technique, 200 specialists on cleaning activities and 1 thousand carabineers and soldiers will be engaged in these works. The city will be divided into 25 sectors and in each four properly equipped groups will be working”, Filip said.

He thanked citizens, who take the initiative in cleaning the city from trees and branches, but called on people to refrain from actions without preliminary agreement with police, as the danger of tree and pillar falling is still high.

Premier said that educational institutions should not take children in parks for sport lessons in order not to endanger their lives.

According to Filip, if everything goes according to the plan, the city will be cleaned of fallen trees and other dangers within two days. If works do not conclude in two days, they will continue in weekend.
