JUSTICE MINISTRY TO MAKE MOLDOVAN JUDICIARY MORE TRANSPARENT

The Moldovan Justice Ministry jointly with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) keeps promoting the program "Transparent Justice" in the republic.

USAID representative for justice reform in Moldova Cristina Malai said at the Thursday's program presentation in Chisinau that the main goal is to automate courts, making the justice system accessible to all country's citizens. The stages of program implementing are the electronic file service (e-dosar), training justice personnel to work with the new system, information campaigns for citizens and online monitoring of judges' work.

"The US Government is promoting the supremacy of law in the entire world, the USAID is supporting the rule of law and the justice reform in Moldova by means of some projects. We support the creation and administration of electronic files and audio processes for ensuring transparency and efficiency of the justice system. Our goal is that the justice system to inspire Moldova's citizens to be proud of it", Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Moldova James D. Pettit said.

Infotag's dossier: The implementation of the program in pilot regime started back in 2007 and keeps developing. In 2015, the module of electronic file was launched, which will be used in testing regime till December. The work of the program is planned to at least 15 years.
