UNDER MASSIVE PRESSURE, AUTHORITIES MAY AGREE TO SNAP ELECTION ALREADY IN 2017 – RENATO USATII

Under a really mass-scale pressing by foreign partners and the local opposition, the Moldovan authorities may agree to holding an early parliamentary election already this year, presumes Partidul Nostru [Our Party] leader Renato Usatii.

Hiding in Moscow from what he calls “the Plahotniuc justice of Moldova” since August 2016, Renato Usatii today took part in the news conference on the Skype organized by the OP leadership and voiced hope that the authors of the law and its main lobby – the Democratic Party and the Party of Socialists – may backpedal.

Usatii presumes that the coordinator of the Moldovan ruling coalition and chairman of the Democratic Party, Vlad Plahotniuc, may agree to the opposition’s demands and hold a snap election on the basis of the old – proportional representation system.

“He has an agreement on this with the de-facto head of the Party of Socialists – President Igor Dodon. The Socialist Party ticket may include a half of people that will be formally independent but in the reality – affiliated to Plahotniuc. By means of this and other machinations, the Democrats will be able to bring up to 30 their deputies into the new parliament”, presumes Renato Usatii.

He strongly criticized his former protesting partner – Igor Dodon.

“After the last week’s team-like voting in parliament for the mixed electoral system, everybody came to understand what Dodon actually is. Upon becoming president, he has fully laid under Plahotniuc. Before, we had Nicolae Timofti [Moldova’s 4th president until 2016] who at least did not hinder. But Dodon meddles in everything! He misleads people and has downgraded to an unprincipled and constantly lying politician”, stated Renato Usatii.

In his words, Plahotniuc and Dodon have already reached a consensus even on dividing official holidays – for a whole year to come.

“The division principle is as follows: Where there is Plahotniuc, there is no Dodon. For instance, the Coordinator has permitted the president to mark with a big concert the Day of Moldova’s liberation from the Nazi occupation – on August 24 [1944]. Presently Dodon is doing his utmost inviting Grigorii Leps to Chisinau. Dodon wants to sing a duet with the Russian star. But Plahotniuc will be on everyone’s eyes three days later – on the Moldova Independence Day of August 27. Plahotniuc will appear before the nation on the same stage [in the central square] together with Maxim Galkin and distinguished Moscow gays. Such is their division of labor”, said Renato Usatii.

He explained yet one more reason of “the harmony of the two loving hearts”.

“Their mutual dream is to annihilate me and Our Party as a political force. Now, for instance, a documentary film about me is being shot. There is an episode in it describing how I, when a young university student yet, hired two murders. What an absurd! Nevertheless this absurd will be demonstrated in Moldova in September”, Renato Usatii said and again promised to necessarily come back home to Moldova some day.

“I am ready to stand another 50 criminal litigations against me. Our Party is going through the hardest period in its history. And my main objective is remaining unchanged – struggle against Plahotniuc. And he is aware that I am working on him every day to spare Moldova of his suffocating embraces and of his criminal surrounding”, said Renato Usatii.
