LIBRARY NIGHT BEING HELD IN CHISINAU

The National Library of Moldova invites everyone to attend the event “Library Night 2017” on Friday at 16:00 through 21:00.

Library representative Veronica Bantas said that the event is aimed at attracting as more people as possible to visiting libraries, to show that it is interesting and useful to spend time here.

The event agenda includes the performance of dance ensemble “Flamenco”, the launching the national campaign “Photography is a Window into History of the People”, a workshop of Ikebana art and the excursion through the library.

“Also, visitors will have the opportunity to listen to folk singer from Romania Ofelia-Florica Harangus and to attend an exhibition of antique maps of Moldova from 14th-15th century”, Bantas said.

The event was organized by the Association of Moldovan Librarians, jointly with the Romanian National Association of Public Librarians and Libraries with the support of the Moldovan Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
