MOLDOVAN GOVERNMENT APPROVES BILL ON INCREASE OF PENALTIES FOR ADMINISTRATIVE VIOLATIONS
The Government has approved bill on amendments and additions to the Code of Administrative Violations of the Republic of Moldova. The approved amendments provide for increasing fines for some administrative offences.
Thus, it is planned to double fines for false calls to emergency services - up to 3 thousand lei, in particular, for false reports about the mining of a building.
Punishment for those who break the silence at nighttime will also be upgraded. Currently, there is a penalty for breaking the silence from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. this time period will be increased from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m.
After the amendments come into force, those who violated the law will have to pay half of the fine within three working days and not 72 hours, as it is provided in the current legislation.
The amendments envisage stricter penalties for parents and legal representatives who punish or harm their children's health.
