SLOVAKIA TO HELP MOLDOVA IMPLEMENT ENVIRONMENT PROJECTS

Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment and the Slovak Agency for International Cooperation and Development (SlovakAID) met in the ministry on Wednesday and Thursday.

The main goal of the meetings was the development of a Strategy of cooperation between the two countries in the field of environment protection for 2019-2023.

"A great attention was given to the problem of waste evacuating and recycling, as well as the contribution of Moldova to the Basel Convention of Trasboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes and Their Disposal", the Ministry says.

The Moldovan and Slovak sides pointed at positive results, such as the harmonization of the Moldovan legislation in accordance with European norms, as well as the development of an automated informational system "Waste management in the republic, which will ensure citizens with all the necessary information about this process.
