The Diaspora Days have begun in Moldova on Friday, August 17.

They have started from the 8th Diaspora Congress that has brought together over 140 Moldova citizens living abroad and the representatives of the Moldovan leadership.

They have discussed the Government’s policy for the Diaspora, the impact of migration on the Moldovan economy, education and social protection.

The Diaspora Bureau will also organize the Diaspora Cup on mini-football on Saturday, August 18.

By organizing such Days every year, the Government hopes to involve the Diaspora and the civil society into a sustainable development of the republic, to strengthen the capacity of the Diaspora and to establish its ties with the citizens.
