MOLDOVANS CAN MONITOR SITUATION ON ROADS ONLINE

An online application, which will help informing citizens about the traffic situation on national roads, will be launched in Moldova soon.

At the Wednesday’s press conference, held by Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici and Ministry State Secretary Anatol Usatii, it was said that more than 40 surveillance cameras have already been installed on many roads and the situation on them may be monitored in online regime on the website of the State Road Administration (www.asd.md).

Besides, a round-the-clock Monitoring Center, aimed at managing snow removing works and administrating the activity of specialized services, has started its functioning.

According to Gaburici, 518 units of special machinery will be engaged in snow removing and other road works in the winter period, as well as 15 thousand tons of technical anti-icing salt will be used.

He called on drivers to check the condition of roads before trips, while in case of necessity, citizens can call the State Road Administration’s round-the-clock operative service 022-74-89-61.

Moldova has 9300 km of national roads and 3900 km of local and regional roads.
