16 april, 2019

Over 2 thousand credits totaling almost 1 billion lei were provided over the first year of implementing the state program “First House”, half of which were provided under state guarantees.

According to the Government, 1540 beneficiaries are young families, while 550 – unmarried young people. The average age of applicants is 31, while the average cost of the purchased housing – around 580 thousand lei. 1873 apartments were bought in towns and 127 houses – in villages.

The Government is getting ready to launch the 4th stage of the program – for employees of private sector.

“They will be granted compensations up to 50% from the sum of the “First House” credit. The compensations will be provided depending on the amount of salary of the beneficiary. In this way, we want to convince the youth to build their future here, at home”, said Prime Minister Pavel Filip.

So far, the state covers up to 50% of the sum of credit to public workers within the “First House-2” package. 260 people have already benefited from it.

The “First House-3” is designed for families with children. The state covers 10% of the housing cost for families with one child, 25% - with two children, 50% - with three children. Those who have more children will have to pay just the interest rate for the credit, while the rest of costs will be covered by authorities.
