ENERGY EFFICIENCY AGENCY ANNOUNCES CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR MOLDOVA ECO ENERGETICA 2019

The annual contest “Moldova Eco Energetica”, conducted by the Energy Efficiency Agency together with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), has started in Moldova on Tuesday.

The applications for participation in the contest are accepted till October 1. During the first stage, 15 finalists will be chosen and will participate in a number of business trainings and seminars. According to their results, the authority jury will declare winners – authors of best business initiatives in industry, agriculture, informational technologies and transport. Also, the best business initiative launched by women in energy sector will get a special prize.

The prize fund is worth US$50 thousand. The awarding ceremony will take place in November.

As Infotag has already reported, the Moldova Eco Energetică is conducted since 2011 for promoting energy efficiency and using the renewable energy sources in the republic. This year it is conducted within the Clean Technology Innovation Program for SMEs and Start-ups in the Republic of Moldova for identifying and promoting entrepreneurial initiatives in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy sources in basic branches of the national economy. Over three years it is planned to encourage 15 startups with total worth of US$150 thousand.
