The 33-year-old lady owner of a Porsche Cayenne Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), who provoked an awful accident in Chisinau with tens of injured people, appears to be a chronic problem-maker for the traffic police, who have drawn up 43 protocols of various-gravity violations committed by the reckless lady lately.

Gheorghe Balan, Head of the Ministry of the Interior's General Police Inspectorate, said at a news conference on Tuesday that since 2010, the woman [named Svetlana Ungureanu, according to some media outlets] was caught by the traffic police for drunken driving minimum 5 times. She was also punished for unbelted driving - 8 times, for speeding - 2 times, for causing accidents - 4 times, for ignoring traffic signs - 5 times, and for other violations.

"In October 2017, she was jailed for 6 months. Later on, in January 2019, the Supreme Court arrested her driving license for 2 years, but the brave lady continued driving without the license!" said Gheorghe Balan.

According to him, eye-witnesses stated to the police that on Monday the Porsche was moving at a speed of about 120-130 kilometers per hour. MoI experts are scrutinizing the video records of the yesterday's accident with the trolleybus that were provided by other motorists. The police have initiated a criminal case on the accident that caused a person's death and numerous injuries.

According to the latest-available, more precise data, on Monday afternoon the said Porsche, moving forbiddingly fast, smashed into a trolleybus from the rear, sending the heavy machine with many passengers into a public transport stop and into a crowd of waiting people. As a result, 28 persons were injured, including 2 children, and a man died. By the morning of October 1, ten persons were remaining hospitalized, and the rest patients received medical assistance and were permitted to go home. Lady Svetlana is remaining in a critical condition, doctors are saying.
