PLAHOTNIUC CAN RETURN ONLY TO MOLDOVA OR ROMANIA – RENATO USATII

15 january, 2020

“Oligarch Vlad Plahotniuc has only two countries he can return to – Moldova and Romania, because he has legal passports as citizen of these countries”, stated Partidul Nostru [Our Party] leader, Balti Mayor Renato Usatii in Facebook on Tuesday.

He maintains that no Moldovan politician has anything to do with the inclusion of Plahotniuc and his family members into US sanction lists.

According to Usatii, the oligarch was prohibited from entering into all civilized countries, including Great Britain.

“No matter what country he travels to, he will immediately be extradited to Moldova. Plahotniuc is very sad now. Choosing between Moldova and Romania, he may return to Romania, but not for long time. My advice to Plahotniuc is to return to Moldova where he will be imprisoned. All Moldovan politicians should guarantee that he will be safe in the prison #13”, Usatii maintains.

He expressed confidence that many Moldovan politicians fear the returning of Plahotniuc.

“Igor Dodon and others do not want this. Plahotniuc will start drowning everyone, including those who were in power together with him recently. He is not Filat, who was threatening with promises of denunciations. Many fear compromising materials he has”, the party leader says.

According to him, the DP ex-chairman should be kept integral, healthy and undamaged to start returning the money from the stolen billion.

Usatii expressed readiness to come after he returns from abroad, where he is on vacation, to Prosecutor General Alexandru Stoianoglo to tell him important information.

“There is a certain Romanian citizen. He was declared wanted in his country, thus he is now in Dubai. Accounts have been opened on his name in local banks and there are US$100 million, put on these accounts by Plahotniuc. Once Plahotniuc lost his power in Moldova, this person stopped answering his calls. However, he still has this money, which must be returned to Moldova. I want to discuss with Stoianoglo the fate of this Romanian citizen. I will also provide information how Plahotniuc, using some criminals, was laundering money via companies that have to deal with terrorist organizations and projects on nuclear weapon development. I think that Stoianoglo, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of other countries, will be able to break the cross-continental criminal scheme of lawlessness”, he explained.
