NATIONAL INTEGRITY ORGAN CHECKING PRESIDENT DODON'S PROPERTY

26 february, 2020

The National Integrity Organ has begun a check of President Igor Dodon's personal property, thus meeting the inquiry filed by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Deputy Chairman of the DA Platform Alexandru Slusari.

Yet in January, he addressed to the National Tax Inspectorate and the National Integrity Organ demanding such a check of the head of state, particularly President Dodon's expenditures on voyages and vacations.

Slusari wrote in the social networks that the need for such a check became obvious after an in-depth journalist investigation into the vacations and annual leaves the President and his family spend in superb, deluxe conditions, permitting expenditures exceeding by far the President's stated incomes.

Slusari called the mass media and civil society to help control the check process, after which the materials are to be sent to the Prosecution Service.
