PRESIDENT DODON SAYS THAT SOME CoV-CAUSED RESTRICTIONS MAY BE CANCELLED FROM JULY 15

29 june, 2020

Some more restrictions, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, may be cancelled from July 15, President Igor Dodon announced to the press on Monday morning following his weekly working consultations with Parliament Speaker Zinaida Greceanii and Prime Minister Ion Chicu.

“We are registering a positive dynamic: the CoV incidence rate is falling. E.g. last week, there were 17% less infection cases registered – 2050 against 2640 cases the week before”, said Igor Dodon.

In his words, if this trend persists, the Prime Minister will propose to cancel yet another package of restrictions such as e.g. the compulsory 14-day quarantine for Moldova citizens returning home from foreign countries.

Dodon said that upon return from Moscow on June 24, he underwent a CoV diagnostic test, which gave a negative result.

“So in full accordance with legislation, I am resuming my official duties today. During this week, I will undertake several working visits around the republic”, said the President.
