CODE RED OF CORONAVIRUS INFECTION RISK ANNOUNCED IN 26 MOLDOVAN RAIONS AND TOWNS

A Code Red of COVID-19 infection risk will start working from October 1 in 26-of-38 administrative-territorial units of Level 1 in Moldova, including in Chisinau and Balti cities, as per the decision taken on Monday evening by the National Emergency Public Health Commission on the basis of an in-depth analysis of the epidemiological situations developing in the Moldovan localities concerned.

From October 1, Moldova is introducing a new system of assessing of epidemiological situations. According to it, Codes Red, Orange, Yellow or Green will be introduced in every raion of Moldova. Depending on the Codes, the health authorities will be changing quarantine restrictions. The prerogative of introducing the restrictions has been passed over to territorial Public Health Commissions.
