FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER TO BE OPENED IN MOLDOVA WITH U.S.’ ASSISTANCE

A Family Justice Center will be opened in Moldova in 2021 with the United States’ assistance, as per the Memorandum of mutual understanding signed between the Moldovan Ministry of the Interior and the Te Doy Foundation on Monday.

The document signature ceremony was attended by the United States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Moldova, Dereck Hogan, MoI Secretary General Ianus Erhan, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbraveanu, and the Foundation President and Co-Founder Mark Williams.

Ambassador Hogan thanked Minister of the Interior Pavel Voicu for his personal participation in and contribution to this project important for the Republic of Moldova as a whole and for Moldovan police in particular.

American partners will be exchanging experience and advanced practices in the Center to render assistance to the victims of gender violence and human trafficking.

The Ministry of the Interior is the coordinator in the Center’s work from the Moldovan side, and the Te Doy Foundation will provide for supplying the Center with equipment and for rent of premises.
