RATE OF CORONAVIRUS INCIDENCE SPREAD SLOWED DOWN LAST WEEK IN MOLDOVA – MoH

Last week, the rate of COVID-19 spread had slowed down in Moldova, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection reported.

According to it, the past week brought 4452 new infection cases – less than in the previous three weeks, when the incidence figures were 4899, 5572 and 5704, respectively.

Last week, the maximum daily incidence rate was 833, whereas in the previous weeks the Ministry was registering more than one thousand instances per day. With all that, the number of tests done per day remained at approximately same level – 3000 to 3500 primary tests.

All in all, Moldovan laboratories have carried out 355,413 tests since the pandemic beginning. This figure includes both primary and secondary tests.

The total number of COVID-19 cases has thus grown up to 71,503. Of that number of patients, 52,290 have already recovered, but 1685 have died.
