15 november, 2020

The presidential candidate Maia Sandu voted “for Moldova, which we will be proud of”. Sandu stated this to journalists at her polling station on Sunday morning.

“Dear citizens, today it is your day. The power is in your hands today. Today you can punish those who lied to you, robbed you, impoverished you and forced you leave home in search of a better life. Today we decide how the people in the Republic of Moldova will live during the next four years. Today we decide how the Republic of Moldova will start a new decade,” Sandu appealed to voters, urging them to actively participate in the vote.

The former Premier noted that ‘when the people unite and take fate into their own hands, things can be changed.”

“I today voted for a change, for Moldova, which we will all be proud of, for Moldova in which the people look at tomorrow with confidence and live in joy, alongside their families,” stated the PAS candidate, who also spoke Romanian and Russian.

Sandu said that "there are alarms when the electronic voter registration system failed."

In this regard, the candidate appealed to the civil servants with an appeal “not to participate and not to admit falsification of the elections.”

“You, too, have the right to live honestly and with dignity, so that you don’t allow to be engaged in election rigging schemes, because you can live with dignity and risk-free,” Sandu stressed.
