MOLDOVAN RESTAURANTS AND PLACES OF ENTERTAINMENT DO NOT CONSIDER THEMSELVES "BREEDERS OF THE CORONAVIRUS"

The National Restaurant and Recreation Association (MAR) expressed concern that “after unannounced inspections over the weekend, both the authorities and some media outlets indiscriminately regarded the HoReCa sector as a source of COVID-19.”

The Association Chairman Anneta Zasavitschi wrote on MAR facebook page that “such statements do not correspond to the reality.”

“These statements only spoil the image of the industry in which we work and scare off both economic agents and employees who are trying to cope with this crisis,” Zasavitschi noted.

The Association expressed its readiness for dialogue with the authorities and expects from them “responsibility to business and citizens, thoughtful and effective decisions.”
