ALMOST 10% OF CoV PATIENTS IN MOLDOVA ARE HEALTH WORKERS – MoH

Almost 10 percent of the total number of coronavirus-infected people in Moldova were and are health sector employees, according to the official data made public by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

Since the pandemic beginning here, as many as 14,208 health workers caught the disease, including 4211 medical doctors, 5955 nurses, 1926 hospital attendants, 2116 auxiliary personnel employees, and 68 healthcare specialists have died by now. Moldovan laboratories have analyzed 40,829 coronavirus tests taken of health workers, Ministry’s State Secretary Tatiana Zatic said at a news conference held on Wednesday night.

According to her, 8269 Moldovan children fell ill with the novel coronavirus disease, and 686 pregnant women.
