TEMPORARY TENTS ESTABLISHED IN BALTI FOR EXPRESS TESTING FOR COVID-19

08 april, 2021

Temporary tents have been set up in Balti to conduct rapid tests for COVID-19. As Infotag reports, special testing points are located near six municipal centers of family doctors.

On the initiative of Mayor Renato Usatii, the Balti Emergency Situations Commission took such a decision to reduce the risks of infection in the centers of family doctors, where people come to take tests. Now they will not enter the buildings of the centers, but will take tests in tents, subject to all safety precautions.

The tents were supposed to be erected on April 5, but the police and military personnel were unable to provide security, citing the fact that there were no free personnel. In this situation, the mayor's office was forced to sign an agreement on the protection of tents with a private security agency.

The head of the family center No. 4 Veronica Bocancea said that “10 thousand express tests were allocated for Balti.”

“Rapid tests are best suited to check a person who already has symptoms of coronavirus, as well as those who have been in contact with an infected person. At the same time, the test should not be done if the person has no symptoms,” the doctor stressed.

Earlier, Usatii announced his intention to “ensure the purchase of 3.6 thousand doses of coronavirus vaccine for Balti in the near future.”
