IOM AND JAPANESE GOVERNMENT DONATED MEDICINES FOR REFUGEE PATIENTS TO MOLDOVA ONCOLOGICAL INSTITUTE

On Wednesday, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Government of Japan donated medication for refugee patients from Ukraine to the Oncological Institute of Moldova.

The director of the medical institution, Ruslan Baltaga, said at the ceremony on the occasion that medical and surgical aid has already been given to 245 refugee patients.

"We intend to continue providing this category of citizens with feasible and high quality assistance. The cost of the medications is estimated at $155,000. We are grateful to our development partners for this timely and necessary donation. The drugs will also be used for domestic cancer patients," he assured.
