Giurgiulesti International Free Port connected to the Fibre-Optic Telecommunication Network
At the end of April, the Giurgiulesti International Free Port was connected to the fibre-optic telecommunication network. The fibre-optic connection will enable GIFP and the various companies that are residents within GIFP to substantially enhance the speed, reliability and safety of their internet connection. Thomas Moser, the chairman of the board of ICS Danube Logistics SRL, the general investor in GIFP, stated: “We want to offer the companies that become residents within GIFP the best possible conditions so that they can successfully develop their respective businesses. The high-speed internet access, which allows high-speed data transfer is only one of many measures we are undertaking in this regard.”
Any company that rents office space or land can become a resident within GIFP and benefit not only from a well-developed infrastructure but also from framework conditions that are similar to that of a free economic zone. GIFP is owned and operated by ICS Danube Logistics SRL. ICS Danube Logistics SRL is 80% owned by the Dutch company EASEUR Holding BV and 20% by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. For more information on how to become a resident in GIFP see www.gifp.md.
