Mobiasbanca supported the “Alexei Starcea” International Canto Academic Contest

On 29 March 2019, the Prize Award Ceremony and the Gala of Laureates took place at the XIthjubilee edition of the “Alexei Starcea” International Canto Academic Contest, marking the 100th anniversary of the composer.

The contest is a tribute to the composer, performer, teacher, Honoured Artist of the Republic of Moldova - Alexei Starcea, having an international status and following the launch of the most authentic talents from the Republic of Moldova and abroad.

The jury of masters in arts, people's artists from both the country and abroad appreciated young talents with diplomas and distinctions, designating the winners of the contest as follows:

·The Ist place, Female voice – Marina Putuntica, Male voice – Vladislav Cojocaru

·The IInd place, Female voice – Cristina Mindrean, Male voice – Gheorghe Cibotaru

·The IIIrd place, Xenia Cazacevschi, Lia Pasechnyk, Alisa Tkachenko, Eliza-Paraschiva Irina-Solomon

Viorica Tudos, Head of the Communication and Quality Department, CB „Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale” S.A., who attended the event, said: „The young talents discovered at this contest, cultivated by masters in arts such as Mihail Muntean, Marian Starcea or Tatiana Costiuc, perpetuate the work of the composer Alexei Starcea and are a proof of the cultural heritage of our country. We are honoured to support the excellence in arts and quality music - eternal things that bring beauty to our hearts.”

The contest was organized by the National Philharmonic „Serghei Lunchevici”, in partnership with CB „Mobiasbanca - Groupe Société Générale” S.A., the Romanian Cultural Institute „Mihai Eminescu”, the Union of Musicians of the Republic of Moldova.
