TIRASPOL LEADER SENDS CONGRATULATIONS TO RUSSIAN PRESIDENT

The president of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan Republic, Yevgeny Shevchuk, today sent a telegram of congratulation to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of Russia’s national holiday – the National Flag Day. Shevchuk wrote that the Transnistrian people are sincerely rejoicing over Russia’s successes and victories and venerate sacredly the Russian flag as a symbol of peace, stability and security on the land of Transnistria. Yevgeny Shevchuk expressed confidence that the development and consolidation of Transnistria-Russia cooperation will further promote the prosperity of both peoples and states.
