​PRESIDENT POROSHENKO SAYS THERE EXISTS NO STATE OF PMR – ONLY TRANSNISTRIAN PIECE OF BORDER

There exists no such state as the Transnistrian Moldovan Republic (PMR) – there exists only the Transnistrian segment of the border, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated in his meeting with power structures representatives held in the Ukrainian city of Odessa on Thursday, the official UNIAN news agency reported.

That was how Poroshenko reacted to the report made by Yury Artiuhov, Chief of the Department for Struggle against Corruption and Organized crime of the Ukrainian Security Service. Reporting the situation with combating smuggling, Artiuhov mentioned the name “PMR” without the definition “unrecognized”.

“I would like to draw your attention – because we have TV camerous around here – that there is no such state as PMR. To call it so before the cameras is a political mistake. This peace of the border is called the Transnistrian segment of the Moldo-Ukrainian border. I think it will be useful to learn this”, said Poroshenko.
