ANTITANK MINE FOUND NEAR RUSSIAN CONSULAR OFFICE IN TIRASPOL

03 may, 2016

An antitank TM-62 mine was found in Tiraspol near the building of the visiting Russian consular mission on the holiday of May 1. Local military engineers defused it successfully. The police are looking for people who might have a relation to that explosive object. According to unconfirmed information, there is a considerable arsenal of such antitank mines kept at the Russian military depots situated in the Kolbasna Village in Transnistria. Russia promised long ago to remove its military property from Transnistria yet before 2002. But until now there is about 20,000 tons of arms and ammunition remaining there until now.
