​TRANSPORT GROUPS WORKED IN BENDERY

The Chisinau and Tiraspol expert groups on railroads and transport held a working meeting in the Bendery Office of the OSCE Mission to Moldova on Wednesday. The session was attended by the representatives of the international mediators and observers participating in the Chisinau-Tiraspol negotiating process. The parties discussed resumption of the full-fledged functioning of the Slobodka-Kolbasna border-crossing station. According to the Transnistrian ministry of foreign affairs, the Moldovan delegation stated that in one month’s time it would undertake domestic measures that must ensure the normal work of the station in the interests of economic operators, including for importation of oil products to Transnistria. The sides negotiated also optimization of the current mechanism of imports by railroad for Transnistrian freight receivers, including the tariff component of the mechanism.
