DEPUTY PREMIER FOR REINTEGRATION MEETS COUNCIL OF EUROPE OFFICIAL

Moldova’s Political Representative at the Transnistria negotiations, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Affairs Gheorghe Balan met on Friday with the Head of the Division of Cooperation Programs, Directorate of Political Advice and Cooperation, Directorate General of Democracy and Political Affairs of the Council of Europe, Anna Capello-Brillat. Balan underlined that the basic human rights and freedoms of the Transnistrian population are systematically violated due to restrictive/unilateral measures taken by the Tiraspol administration in various fields, including education, freedom of movement, personal security, real estate rights etc. The interlocutors discussed the perspectives of realization of projects in the sphere of confidence-building measures to be funded by the Council of Europe in 2017-2020.
