MOLDOVA HOPES FOR AUSTRIA'S ASSISTANCE IN TRANSNISTRIAN CONFLICT SETTLEMENT

The Republic of Moldova hopes for Austria's further backing in matters of inter-state cooperation, including the Transnistrian conflict settlement problem, President Igor Dodon stated during his meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria to Moldova Christine Freilinger on Thursday.

The head of state promised Moldova will be doing its utmost to help the Austrian OSCE presidency to be maximum efficient.

Dodon said Moldova is interested to gain more from Austria's experience in promoting the status of the country's permanent neutrality and its influence on the shaping of national self-consciousness and state development.

The President thanked Ambassador Freilinger for the material and technical assistance her country rendered for Moldova, and voiced hope for further fruitful cooperation.
