TRANSNISTRIA SEEKS TO NEGOTIATE INTER-BANK INTERACTION WITH MOLDOVA

Tiraspol stands ready to negotiate inter-bank interaction with Chisinau, Transnistria president Vadim Krasnoselsky stated in his meeting with the United States Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Moldova, James D. Pettit, held here on Tuesday.

Krasnoselsky stated that the Transnistrian economy “is open and transparent, but there are problems related to the banking system functioning, namely to correspondent accounts in banks. At the level of Tiraspol and Chisinau Political Representatives, the Sides have reached an accord on resuming the work of the profiled expert group. I hope dialog in this sphere will be concrete”.

Among the topical problems waiting solution, Vadim Krasnoselsky mentioned the road transport problem, de-blocking of the railroad station Slobodka, and putting an end to politically motivated criminal prosecutions.
