CZECH AMBASSADOR VISITS TIROTEX COMPANY

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Moldova Zdenek Krejci visited the Transnistrian textile company "Tirotex", where he met with its Director General Andrei Mejinski and got acquainted with the production process.

According to the website of the PMR largest enterprise, during the business meeting, the interlocutors discussed the possible interaction and activation of interregional cooperation.

"Our trade relations with the Czech Republic have a dynamic character for already 7 years. Last year, 1.3 million meters of textile have been shipped to Czech market", the company director said.

According to him, the enterprise has a system of tight quality control as an important component of production activities.

"We annually undergo social audit according to the demands of the Walt Disney company. Due to this, one of Czech partners, which has license of this company, has the possibility to place in Tirotex the customs on producing fabrics with world-known images of cartoon personages", Mejinski said.

He organized an excursion for the Czech guests and demonstrated all the stages of textile production - starting from cotton processing to issuing of the ready-made garments for sale.

According to the press release, Mr. Zdenek Krejci expressed surprise and was impressed by the level of development and implementation of advanced technologies at the Transnistrian enterprise, which has a priceless role in developing the Transnistrian light industry sector.

During his visit to Tiraspol, he also met with head of the region's minister of foreign affairs Vitaly Ignatiev, who pointed at deep cooperation between Transnistria and Czechia in cultural, humanitarian, economic spheres.

Ignatiev told in detail about the situation in the negotiation process between Transnistria and Moldova, pointing in particular at the progress in the fulfillment of agreements in the field of functioning of eight Latin-script Moldova-administered schools in Transnistria, the land owning in Dubasari raion and the apostilization of Transnistrian higher education documents.
