TRANSNISTRIAN DEFENSE MINISTRY REFUTES MEDIA RUMORS ABOUT HELICOPTER CRASH

The Transnistrian ministry of defense has refuted media stories about the alleged crash of a military helicopter in the region.

The ministry explained in its press release that it was a technical accident that happened on September 20 during the ground testing of helicopter engines that were started in order to check all systems.

“The air vessel received a mechanical damage, and three crew members were slightly injured. They received necessary medical assistance on the site”, wrote the ministry.

Ministerial specialists and profiled experts from the Transnistrian investigation committee are examining the accident circumstances. Among possible reasons they are offering a fatigue failure of the transmission of the tail rotor.
