PMR INVESTMENT AGENCY HOLDING NEGOTIATIONS ON 19 PROJECTS

Around 19 projects are in procedure in the Transnistrian Agency for Investments, most of which are at the stage of negotiations.

The Agency Director Andrei Betanov met on Monday with unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan republic (PMR) prime minister Alexander Martynov and deputy premier Sergey Obolonik.

According to the Transnistrian government website, he said that three projects are in the field of agriculture.

"One concerns the growing of berries and includes their consequent freezing. The second is in the field of organic production. Then the project on growing hazelnut from personal investments comes. The investor requests around 1 thousand hectares for production", Betanov said.

According to him, the projects connected with pharmaceutical production, heavy industry, dairy and olive oil production are also in procedure.

"Agreements with some of investors may be signed already this week within an investment forum", the official said.
