TRANSNISTRIAN FOREIGN MINISTER MEETS MEDIATORS AND OBSERVERS IN TIRASPOL

Head of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldovan republic (PMR) foreign office Vitaly Ignatiev presented on Wednesday the position of the Transnistrian side on a wide spectrum of relevant issues, connected with the current relations between Transnistria and Moldova.

According to the region's foreign ministry website, at the meeting with representatives of mediators and observers in the 5+2 negotiation process, he expressed gratitude to international partners for permanent attention to the process of settling the Moldovan-Transnistrian relations, speaking for preserving the dialog dynamic, despite the election campaign in Moldova.

He also confirmed the Transnistrian side's adherence to the resolving of practical socio-humanitarian issues at the negotiating table for the benefit of people and stressed the need of responsible fulfillment by the sides of the already signed agreements, including on telecommunications and the closing of politically motivated criminal cases.
