This is provided in the Resolution of the Committee for Political Issues and Security, headed “Advancing Sustainable Development to Promote Security. The Role of Parliaments”, adopted within the 28th annual session of the OSCE PA in Luxembourg.

The document points on the need to have a complete withdrawal of the armed forces and ammunition stockpiles of the Russian Federation from the territory of the Republic of Moldova and to transform the current peacekeeping operation into an international civilian mission.

The OSCE PA has reiterated its strong support for a comprehensive, peaceful and sustainable settlement of the conflict in the Republic of Moldova, based on sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, underlines the importance of the “5+2” format as the only mechanism to achieve comprehensive and sustainable settlement, welcomes the progress made so far and urges the sides to fully implement the commitments and continue to pursue steps to improve the lives of people.

Authors of the document recommend intensifying the result-oriented talks in the framework of the agreed formats for conflict resolution.

The OSCE PA calls on the parties to conflicts to engage in negotiations in good faith without preconditions for achieving comprehensive and long-lasting peace, in full respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the internationally recognized borders of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova.
