NEW DEPUTY PREMIER, OSCE MISSION HEAD DISCUSS WAYS TO COMPLETE BRATISLAVA PROTOCOL DRAFTING

Ways to and possibilities of completing the drafting of the Protocol of the official round of the 5+2 format negotiations held in Bratislava last October were the main question of the meeting the new Moldovan Special Representative for Transnistria negotiations, Deputy Prime Minister for Country Reintegration Alexandru Flenchea held on Monday with Ambassador Claus Neukirch, the Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova.

The parties exchanged opinions on the draft Statement by the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers on the 5+2 negotiation process, which will be presented for discussion and approval at the 26th Session in Slovakia on December 5-6.

The interlocutors also agreed upon the approaches to interaction with Tiraspol’s Political Representative.

On Monday, Ambassador Claus Neukirch met also with Moldovan Democratic Party leader Pavel Filip and discussed the latest political events in Moldova with him.

Filip told the diplomat that the Democratic Party is remaining a strong and consolidated team, “as can be seen from the results achieved by us at the recent local election”.

As for the new Government, Filip said that the Democratic Party will be supporting it as long as it will be implementing concrete projects for citizens, preserving the pro-European course and ensuring the Republic of Moldova’s territorial integrity.
