GAGAUZIA GOVERNOR AND CZECHIA AMBASSADOR DISCUSS INTERACTION ISSUES

The perspectives of broadening of inter-regional cooperation, interaction in the spheres of public health and environment protection were discussed on Wednesday between Irina Vlah, Bashkan of the southern Moldovan autonomous region of Gagauzia, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Moldova Zdenek Krejci.

Irina Vlah expressed deep gratitude to the Government of the Czech Republic for the assistance it provided for the capsulation of the landfill of obsolete pesticides in the village of Cismichioi and for the opening of a Social Center in Vulcanesti town.

The interlocutors exchanged opinions about the methods of combating the COVID-19. Irina Vlah remarked that the assistance rendered by the Czech Republic has become a valuable aid for Moldovan health institutions in their struggle against the pandemic.

Irina Vlah regards as very essential the cooperation with Czechia partners in the fields of environment protection, education, youth policy etc., especially within the framework of programs where international grants are offered.

The Gagauzia Bashkan wrote in social networks afterwards that Ambassador Zdenek Krejci showed interest to the project of creating a regional youth center on the basis of the children's countryside summer camp "Olympic".

The interlocutors discussed also the question of concluding agreements on interaction with Czechia towns and regions.
