TRANSNISTRIA SENDS RECOMMENDATION TO MOLDOVA TO COMBAT COVID-19

PMR Interior Ministry has criticized Cristina Lesnic’s PR campaign related to her press conference on May 6 on the visit of the WHO delegation to Transnistria and its recommendations.

The MoI reported that neither Transnistrian side, nor the WHO itself needs such a specific “intermediary” like the Moldovan official, who has been repeatedly caught in destructive propaganda and politicization of the pandemic.

“Lesnic’s attempts to draw attention to herself by joining the bilateral agenda of expert cooperation between the WHO and Transnistria, which is foreign to Chisinau, lose their adequacy against the background of the Moldovan healthcare system problems”, the regional MoI reported.

The Ministry has also called on Chisinau “to stop interfering into the medical sphere and its politicization, but to focus on local competences and obligations in the international negotiation process”.
