GAGAUZIA GOVERNOR EXPRESSES GRATITUDE TO GOVERNMENT OF GERMANY

Irina Vlah, the Bashkan of the southern Moldovan autonomous region of Gagauzia, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Moldova, Angela Ganninger, and expressed deep gratitude to the Government of Germany for the assistance it rendered through the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ, Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH).

The interlocutors exchanged opinions about the most efficient methods of combating the COVID-19 pandemic. Irina Vlah pointed out that health institutions in Gagauzia need more equipment to provide treatment for COVID-19 patients.

Touching on the interaction with GIZ, the Bashkan highlighted the Corporation's assistance to the Gagauzia autonomy to attract investments, to work out technical documentation for investment platforms in the autonomous region etc.

The parties discussed broadening of the partnership between the GIZ and the Gagauzia Agency for Investment Attraction.
