DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER DISCUSSES NEGOTIATION PROGRESS OF TRANSNISTRIAN SETTLEMENT WITH HER UKRAINIAN COUNTERPART

Moldova’s Special Representative for Transnistria negotiations, Deputy Prime Minister for Country Reintegration Cristina Lesnic discussed the situation in the Transnistrian settlement and the progress of negotiation process with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov.

According to the Reintegration Bureau, during the on-line meeting the interlocutors exchanged opinions on the institutional reform, human rights, protection and other topical issues.

Lesnic congratulated Reznikov on the Constitution Day of Ukraine and his appointment as co-Chair of the Moldovan-Ukrainian intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.

Oleksiy Reznikov proposed to resume cooperation between Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. The parties agreed to develop and strengthen partnership relations by organizing mutual visits in the nearest future.
