VICE PRIME MINISTER FOR REINTEGRATION ASKS FOR OSCE ASSISTANCE TO PROVIDE FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT FOR TEACHERS AND PUPILS

Moldova counts on the assistance of the OSCE Mission “in ensuring the free movement of students, teachers and technical staff of schools, as well as parents and accompanying persons of minors crossing the administrative line to visit educational institutions on both banks of the Nistru River”.

As the Bureau for Reintegration informs, Deputy Prime Minister Christina Lesnic said this at the yesterday meeting with Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova Antti Karttunen, where preparations for the new academic year were discussed.

She informed about the efforts of Chisinau to ensure the free movement of students and teachers from eight schools with Romanian language of instruction in Transnistria, as well as teachers and students from the left bank of the Nistru River who study in educational institutions on the right bank.

For his part, the OSCE representative said that the Mission fully supports the freedom of movement of students.
