BUREAU FOR REINTEGRATION EXPLAINES RECALL OF MOLDOVAN REPRESENTATIVES FROM VRPs TIRASPOL AND RYBNITSA

02 september, 2020

The Reintegration Bureau confirmed the temporary suspension of the activities of the territorial Vehicle Registration Points (VRP) in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa.

As the department informed, this is due to the fact that “two years have passed since the opening of the points. The government approved a proposal to extend their activities on August 26, sending a draft amendment to the legislation for approval to the parliament.”

“During the break, the employees of the Public Services Agency (PSA) who worked there will undergo training, analysis and archiving courses, and a decision will be made on a possible rotation of personnel,” the bureau explained.

According to its data, in the course of two years, the VRPs in Tiraspol and Rybnitsa registered about 4 thousand of cars; 1143 transport units with neutral registration numbers left the Republic of Moldova, making a total of 4718 border crossings towards Romania and Ukraine.

At PSA, 8375 driver's licenses of Transnistrian car owners were exchanged for national documents. They now have the opportunity to participate in international road traffic.
