PARTICIPANTS IN THE PROTEST FAMILY MARCH DEMAND TO OUTLAW GENDER–DOC–M
Chisinau. Participants in the Protest Family March, which took place on May 11, 2008, demanded to outlaw GENDER–DOC–M.
At a news conference in Infotag on Monday they said that the Gender-Document-M center imposes amorality on the society by its actions.
Priest of the St. Trinity Cathedral Vasile Filat, Senior Instructor of the National Taekwon-Do Federation Sergiu Filat and Natalia Boico from the English for New Life organization said that the participants in the Family March action signed a declaration, where they condemned the Gender–Doc–M’s actions.
The declaration says that the center systematically undermines the family institute, moral values, the Constitution, the Bible’s foundations and insults people’s Christian feelings.
The organizers of the news conference demanded to forbid the activities of the so-called Coalition Against Discrimination.
The priest rejected accusation of aggressiveness towards representatives of other sexual orientations. He said that they condemn any aggressive actions and tried to curb the indignity of people, who gathered on the central square, and asked them not to recur to violence.
“Our struggle is of a spiritual character and we shall try to liberate ourselves by means of convincing adversaries”, he said.
According to the priest, about 500 people, who opposed the conduct of the Gender–Doc–M’s actions, gathered on the square.
“Combatants gathered separately. They consisted mainly of students of the theological faculty, priests, as well as those, who were indignant of a frank infringement of representatives of other sexual orientation on the moral foundations of the society”, Filat remarked.
