LIBERALS TO ORGANIZE CARAVAN TO URGE RUSSIAN TROOPS OUT

LIBERALS TO ORGANIZE CARAVAN TO URGE RUSSIAN TROOPS OUT

Chisinau.   Next Sunday, the Liberal Party (LP) will organize an information campaign entitled a “Caravan for Russian Troop Withdrawal from Moldova”.

On such occasion, LP Chairman Mihai Ghimpu organized a news conference in Infotag today and stated, in particular, that the Republic of Moldova government has, so far, done quite little to force Russia to pull out its military from the Moldovan soil.

Ghimpu explained, “Most residents of Moldova want to be in the European Union, but they have no idea that the European Union will not accept us together with the Russian troops. We must unite efforts in our struggle for clearing our land of the troops that annihilated our past and are ruining our future”.

The caravan, to consist of some 65 cars, will start from the capital city’s central square at 9am on Sunday. The vehicles will be decorated with the flags of the Republic of Moldova, the European Union and the Liberal Party, and will bear inscriptions like “If you want to EU, get Russian troops out from Moldova!”

The cars will split into 13 different directions so as to visit all Moldovan raions during the day, “and by 7 pm we will come back and gather near the Russian embassy, with candles lit up in memory of those who died”, as Ghimpu put it.
